Music and Movement for Babies, Toddlers and Preschool
Join our weekly family music and movement classes for babies, toddlers and preschool with parents and caregivers! In the style of "Mommy and Me", we offer inclusive classes for families designed to foster development of musical skills while bonding with their loved ones and classmates through interactive activities including sing-along, dance-along and play-along songs and games!

"Students who start music at a young age often develop far superior relative pitch than those that start even a few years later. Without knowing anything about their previous musical experience, I can usually spot in the very first lesson a student who has had early childhood music classes, or has learnt another instrument in school, by their pitch awareness and aural memory. And in these skills they stay ahead of their peers throughout their studies."

What is a holistic teaching approach?Holistic music lessons encompass a comprehensive approach to musical education that goes beyond just learning to play an instrument. It integrates various elements such as music theory, ear training, improvisation, composition, and performance techniques. Unlike traditional teaching styles, which often focus solely on technical proficiency, holistic lessons emphasize the development of the whole musician, nurturing creativity, expression, and a deeper understanding of music. By incorporating diverse learning modalities and encouraging exploration, holistic methods foster a more well-rounded musical experience, enabling students to connect with music on a deeper level and develop skills that extend beyond the confines of traditional instruction.

Do you work with children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)?Yes, music classes for students on the autism spectrum are offered weekdays in the mornings and afternoons and Saturday mornings from 9 am - 12 pm.
-
Why should my child take music lessons?Music develops right brain creativity which helps children learn to think outside the box. Children learning music perform better academically in school with higher grades and test scores. Musical lessons have also been linked to higher IQ scores. It also improves communication skills and social interaction.
